| | From Sensor to Cloud - ARM® mbed Enabled™ Dear customer, Kick start your next IoT project in a one day hands on workshop. Partnering with industry leaders STMicroelectronics for hardware and ARM® mbed™ for software, Avnet Silica presents an easy and effective implementation to bring smart sensing applications into the cloud. Avnet Silica's IoT Sensor Node board combines best-in-class processing, sensing and connectivity products from STMicroelectronics with the ARM® mbed IoT device platform, which provides a complete solution including an advanced RTOS, cloud based device management and advanced security. During the workshop we will first introduce the hardware, namely ST's microcontroller portfolio, especially focusing on STM32L4 and Avnet Silica's Sensor Node board, highlighting its major features and components such as sensors, sub-GHz and Bluetooth Smart connectivity. From hardware the focus will shift to software, presenting the complete ST Software Ecosystem as well as introducing mbed OS and the mbed device connector which together make device to cloud implementations simple. During the hands-on session you will go through the complete flow from creating a basic application through to connecting the board to ARM® mbed cloud, using 6lowpan over a sub-GHz link. Kind regards Your Avnet Silica Team
